Koto needed someone to take charge of their Berlin expansion. With detailed knowledge of the local market and how to break through to new and exciting brands. Why Johann? He's not just a leader, he's a digital guru, who understands the intricacies of the local market in Berlin and what brands need to stand out. He worked on his own conceptual projects and got noticed.
Koto had just entered their fourth year. They quickly became the most sought after design agency to work with and for. They needed to scale their offering in London, Berlin and LA. But they needed an operationally minded leader that believed there was a better way. Koto could have hired someone they knew. They specifically briefed us to find someone they didn’t.
Koto came to us an a very exciting time in their journey. A new studio in LA was growing rapidly and with that came a complete restructure of the leadership team. Founders became a CEO, CCO and COO and took charge of the global leadership team. What then followed was a need for a new wave of creative leaders in the London studio, first stop Design Director.
